In response to what is being called the worst non-hurricane related power outage in Virginia’s history, Baptists have teamed up to offer relief to the thousands of Lynchburg residents without electricity.
Through ministry partners, such as First Baptist Church in Roanoke and Grace Baptist Church in Christiansburg, cooling stations are in place to provide cold water, food and a cool environment. Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg is also serving as a church-run shelter.
