Strong churches with a bold commitment to the Great Commission

Baptist Builders in New Orleans

A Change in Plans and a Change for Eternity

Hyland Heights Baptist Church sent two mission teams to New Orleans to partner with Operation NOAH. A team of eight volunteers provided feeding services while the other team of ten did construction work.

Baptist Builders on mission do whatever it takes to meet the needs of others. The construction team expected to hang sheetrock but learned upon arrival that they would strip off lap siding and replace it with 4 X 10 sheets of OSB. The house was actually jacked up ten feet so they worked off scaffolding. Four ladies on the team did an excellent job removing the old siding while the rest of the team put up the OSB and did other repairs to the floor.

Our construction team had the privilege of leading this homeowner to the Lord! Our team was the 13th team sent to repair Katrina damage to this home. The previous twelve teams planted seeds of God's compassion that now have eternal significance. Together Baptist Builders made an eternal difference.
