March – April

HUNGER—real hunger is something most of us have never experienced. POVERTY—again, something most of us have never truly known. Hunger and poverty don’t just exist overseas in impoverished countries. They exist around all of us every day. Every school in Virginia has children who know what it is like to be hungry, who have no food at home. As our country continues to struggle economically, more and more families will struggle with these problems.

During the months of March and April, the SBCV Mission Project is for all SBCV churches to “Support a Local Hunger Ministry.” Maybe your church is already involved in a hunger ministry, and we encourage you to continue what you are doing. If you are not aware of a local hunger ministry, we’ve listed below some ministries you can help. Call the one closest to you and find out how you can assist:
