Baptist Builders on Mission
Please let us know that you are On-Mission through Construction. Please forward information on trips you are planning expecially if folks from other churches can team with you. This sort of partnership would allow a church to get some Hands On Mission experience without having to plan everything for themselves. If you would like to share your trip please email or call Mark Gauthier, 804-385-5391.
We have reached an exciting time in the Baptist Builders ministry! We are planning our first state project, and would like to invite you to participate. The project is to remodel a church house is Staunton, to be used for missionaries and interns. As you will note from the details below, many of the dates are for weekends or even a single day, which may fit your schedule better than a full week.
Recently when asked how the project is going, this is what the Baptist Builders State Coordinators had to say:
Things are really moving along on the house. We have completed 24 days of work so far! God has blessed us in so many ways and we continue to see each day how He has planned for every individual to be there at the right time! The drywall is complete with at least one coat of paint on everything except a few doors that still need to be hung. The tile was laid downstairs last week and the linoleum was started upstairs. All the cabinets were delivered, to be installed this week. The most amazing part of all this is how God has sent 69 Baptist Builders from 14 churches. This is an average of 8.5 volunteers per day for 24 days! That is approx 1600 man/woman work hours!! Jack and I had no idea that so many would respond. Everyone has been super, just so much fun to work with and each so willing to serve Jesus! We have had several opportunities to witness. We invited the guys that delivered materials to eat with us and we had a super time sharing with them. We still pray for a few more workers for this final week. The skills needed are trim, laying linoleum, installing cabinets, plumbing and painting. God knows our needs and He has the perfect plan to complete this home. We pray daily for the interns, missionaries and church planters that will use this home to impact the world for Jesus!! On Mission and we thank God for the opportunity to serve Him! Jack and Nancy
June 23, through June 28, Baptist Builder trim week.Three meals, daily showers and lodging will be provided.(details to be provided on whether or not bedding and towels will need to be brought) If you are interested in participating in this effort, please e-mail Jack and Nancy Dunford (SBCV State Baptist Builders Coordinators) at dunford@ntelos.net There is limited space and workers will be added on a first come - first served basis.
