Overview
The Central-West region serves the area in and around the Roanoke Valley, Greater Lynchburg, and the Southside.
Central-West is home to around three quarters of a million people, many of whom live in a handful of more densely populated areas surrounded by the Virginia mountains and rolling foothills. The SBC of Virginia has placed missionaries strategically in these population centers, but also maintains a presence and a heart for communities tucked away in more secluded areas.
With 140 churches and growing, Central-West is the region with the greatest SBC of Virginia presence, but there are still many who need to be reached.
