SBCV Pastors and Staff Cluster Fellowships happen regularly in each ministry area.  The gathering can take place at a local church or a restaurant. Even though the fellowships seem to be centered on a shared meal, (breakfast, lunch or a special occasion dinner), this opportunity for building relationships consists of much more than eating. 

Area Missionaries plan, coordinate, and host the monthly fellowships. Within the 90-minute gathering, the pastors may receive a packet that contains details of upcoming SBCV-sponsored events or Southern Baptist Convention benefits and emphasis.  This is a great way to inform the pastors of upcoming mission partnerships and opportunities, statewide or regional conferences, and leadership trainings, or just to remind them that their state convention is available to assist their church directly.  It is not unusual for a new book release to be highlighted and sometimes even given away at a pastors' fellowship.  It’s also not unusual to have a guest speaker that will encourage and challenge the pastors and help equip them for ministry. 

Even though invitations are issued, pastors are free to invite other pastors or staff friends to attend as well.   And on special occasions, the spouses are honored guests.
