  SBCV Ministry Internships

For CHURCHES Interested in Applying for an Intern
Churches are often under-staffed to meet the growing needs of their congregation.  An intern is a great way to extend the ministry of the pastor, while also mentoring and investing in future church leaders.  Traditionally, the intern was thought of in terms of a summer youth worker, but internships are not limited in ministry scope nor are they restricted by time.  The application process is simple.  SBCV churches need to discover:  the type of internship that will meet their needs, the time frame of the ministry and the compensation package they are willing to offer.  Click here to apply online or click here for a printable form. After receiving application, the SBCV will send available intern profiles to the church for their matching consideration.

For CHURCHES Interested in Applying for an SBCV Summer Intern Scholarship
Partial Scholarships may be available to SBCV Churches who host a summer intern.  The Summer Intern Scholarship Program is made possible through contributions from SBCV churches to the annual State Missions Offering, therefore funds are limited and will be distributed based on the priority of need and are not guaranteed.  Click here to apply online or click for a printable form.

For CHURCHES Interested in Applying for a North American Mission Board Student Missionary
NAMB places high school, college and seminary students as missionaries to accomplish the following purposes:  1) To challenge students to respond as “On Mission” Christians, both now and in future vocations, 2) To utilize the skills, interests, and abilities of students in meeting mission needs related to the six Major Mission Objectives of the North American Mission Board, 3) To help students discover their interests and aptitudes for mission service, 4) To provide practical leadership experiences in missions that result in training potential future mission personnel.  Click here for an application and to learn more about the guidelines for service, provisions and category of student missionary requests.

For STUDENTS Interested in Applying to be an Intern
Students who are interested in becoming an intern need to provide contact and personal information, experience, ministry interests and time frame by completing application.  Click here to apply online or click here for a printable application.  Unlike the North American Mission Board, the SBCV does not place students in ministry, therefore your profile generated from this application, along with others, will be sent to requesting churches for consideration.  The church will pursue interviews and extend ministry opportunities to students directly.

Send applications and further questions by E-mail to: internships@sbcv.org.
