Families on Mission

FOM VBS 4

Get connected with FOM in Virginia in 2012!

June 24 - June 29, 2012, Families on Mission will be in Bluefield, VA where we will be working with Crosspointe Community Fellowship to conduct the largest VBS that we have ever done. Pastor Roger Cook’s vision is that every child in the Bluefield area has the opportunity to learn about Jesus and hear a clear presentation of the Gospel. We need you to accomplish this goal. We need men, women, youth, boys and girls who God is leading to go on-mission together as a family to reach Bluefield for Christ.

If time allows in the afternoons after VBS, we may help with some local light construction and painting at the schools.

Families will stay in a hotel and the registration cost is as follows:

What is FOM?

Families on Mission (FOM) is a ministry of the SBC of Virginia. FOM offers a unique, five day mission experience that allows children, youth and adults to build a legacy of missions by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of others through relevant servanthood and direct evangelism experiences.

Families have the privilege to be "hands on" as they participate in devotions, ministry projects and worship together. Mission activities include prayer walking, light construction, painting, yard work, Vacation Bible School, sports camps, block parties, acts of kindness and other evangelistic events.

Each day begins with family devotions and evangelism training followed by ministry projects in which the entire family can participate. In the evening there is a large group gathering for praise and worship, teaching and testimonies. The day ends with a family huddle to discuss the impact of the day on family members, both individually and as a family.
