Back-to-School Packs for ARM
June :: July 31st
|
|
|
Throughout the Appalachian area, there will be children returning to school in August and September who do not have the basic supplies to begin their new school year.
We can all be “on mission” from our homes and churches and give these children a head-start for the new year by supplying these basic needs through the SBCV Back-to-School Packs mission opportunity.

Witnessing Bracelets
March :: April 30
|
|
Many people in SBCV churches – from children to adults – like to be involved in hands-on mission projects. The opportunity to make Witnessing Bracelets for the Ocoee Resort Ministries in Tennessee is one of those projects. This is the sixth year SBCV has offered this opportunity. Many churches have taken part and it has met a great need.

What the Bracelet Reminds you:
- God created everything out of nothing.
- We all do things that God does not like; we sin.
- God loves us and sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins.
- Jesus forgives you and cleanses you.
- Jesus wants you to be recognized with Him, and one of the ways is with the symbol of baptism.
- You will grow in your faith and obedience through prayer, Bible study, and worship.
- You will have the riches of eternal life.

BGR in-home care kits
February :: March 31
|
|
Today, while many families in the United States are struggling to make ends meet, we don’t have to look far to find others whose trials fill our hearts with compassion. Believers are reaching out in Christ-like love to poverty-stricken families in Sub-Saharan Africa who are trying to care for terminally ill loved ones—primarily those dying of AIDS.
Church members in America are collecting items for BGR In-home Care Kits to send to those families—5-gallon plastic buckets filled with a wide range of everyday supplies needed by a caregiver: from lotions, toothbrushes, and vitamins to bedding, soap, and socks. Filling a bucket is simple. The items needed are inexpensive and easy to find. A small group or Sunday School class will enjoy the fellowship of packing buckets and praying for the recipients.
IMPORTANT: There are very specific requirements for the items needed and the proper way to pack the buckets. Please make sure to follow the detailed shopping list and assembling instructions. Incorrectly packed kits may not be usable.
