Missions Opportunities
Baptist Builders are assisting Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Christiansburg with the construction of a metal building starting in June. You do not have to be a part of a team or trained to serve. Individuals welcomed. Email baptistbuilders@sbcv.org for more information.
Ministry Openings
Highlands Fellowship, Abingdon (three openings)
Discipleship Pastor: This includes, teaching monthly discipleship classes, developing resources, leading the small group community and oversight of the campus pastors. The ideal candidate will be passionate about seeing people grow in the knowledge, love, faith and grace of God.
Ministry Pastor: This strategic leader will provide direction and oversight to the Next Generation ministries which start in the nursery and end after college. The ideal candidate will have a passion for people and the next generation as they champion these groups across all campuses.
Missions Pastor: The right person will have a huge heart for the Great Commission and desire to see lives changed globally through strategic missions work led by great volunteers. This person will also have a proven track record of recruiting, training, encouraging and releasing great volunteers to take ownership of the various local and global outreaches.
The ideal candidates for all of these great opportunities will need to have a full understanding of the Purpose Driven Church process and paradigm as outlined in The Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren.
