Many Appomattox County children do not have sufficient food on the weekends. When the coronavirus impacted jobs, the needs intensified for those families. The feeding ministry of Liberty Baptist Church in Appomattox partnered with the school system, local churches, and community to distribute food to those children.
Volunteers sorted, loaded, and unloaded food from local businesses and feeding centers. The delivered boxes were met with smiles from parents having difficulty feeding their families. Senior Pastor Rusty Small says that this ministry is truly a community effort and could not have happened without the tireless service of volunteers.
Thanks to your prayers and gifts through the Vision Virginia missions offering, you have helped feed and share Jesus’s love to this community in a tangible way.
