Fred Harrington lost everything he owned to drugs and alcohol. Ten years ago, he met Michael Harrison, pastor of The Community Fellowship, who shared with Fred, “There’s not a lot going on, unless you’ve got Jesus going on.” Fast forward a decade, Fred is following Jesus and has become Michael’s righthand man – volunteering at the church’s hunger ministry.
Like Fred, many others in Collinsville experience high poverty levels and are hurting. The coronavirus increased this reality. The church gives boxes filled with food to families in the community – and the impact is eternal. Each box gives volunteers an opportunity to share the Gospel.
Thanks to your prayers and gifts through the Vision Virginia missions offering, you have helped hunger ministries like this one reach those in need in Collinsville and beyond.
