Week of Prayer

The week of prayer is September 15-22, 2024.
Day 1: Church Planting
Day 1: Church Planting

Pray that God will bless new church plants and planters. Pray that God will continue to provide new planting partnerships with established churches as we work together to penetrate lostness.

Day 2: English as a Second Language
Day 2: English as a Second Language

Pray that the Lord would continue to provide leaders for English as a Second Language (ESL) ministries as we work with one another to share the Gospel.

Day 3: Seminary Scholarships
Day 3: Seminary Scholarships

Seminary students from SBCV churches benefit from scholarships as they follow God's call to ministry. Pray that God will use these gifts to help equip ministerial leaders through their formal education.

Day 4: Disaster Relief
Day 4: Disaster Relief

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is the third largest volunteer-based relief agency in North America. Pray that God will continue to call SBCV church volunteers to be trained and ready when the need arises.

Day 5: Missions Training
Day 5: Missions Training

Before mission teams from churches travel to the mission field, training is essential. Pray that more laborers will submit to God’s call and that He will use the training to prepare and use them for His glory.

Day 6: Deaf Leadership Training
Day 6: Deaf Leadership Training

Deaf church planters are trained as indigenous planters to reach the culturally Deaf community. Pray for God to continue to work through this ministry to reach the more than 100,000 Deaf people in Virginia.

Day 7: Partnership Vision Trips
Day 7: Partnership Vision Trips

Our mobilization team partners with churches to reach the nations. We also host vision trips across the globe. Pray that God continues to open doors for more churches to work together to reach many for Him.

Day 8: Revitalization
Day 8: Revitalization

Revitalization is a process that helps churches seeking greater vitality to catch a fresh vision and reach more for the Gospel in the local community. Pray for the pastors of these churches as they lead their congregations and that the churches will be rejuvenated for God’s glory and honor.
