“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.”
God showed us the beauty of the “work of His hands” as snow covered the ground at Oasis Church, Monroe, Virginia. Baptist Builders began to use their hands to renovate the old church buildings that the Oasis Church family had purchased. As a new church plant, they had been meeting at the Amherst High School for 3 years. Now with over 300 in attendance, they needed more space. God provided an old church on top of a hill with two buildings, 5,000 sq. ft. each. Demolition of flooring, kitchen and bathroom was completed and the rebuild began.
From February 19th — 25th, Baptist Builders from 20 Churches, a total of 79 volunteers, worked with God-given skills and lots of fellowship to complete … building a 12 ft. X 24 ft. shed, hanging and finishing 38 sheets of drywall, painting 3 rooms, laying over 1360 sq. ft. of floor tile, adding 192 sq. ft. of stage to the existing stage, replacing 19 windows, installing 2 showers (after much plumbing repair under the existing concrete) , gutting and rebuilding the kitchen (60% complete), installing and rewiring many electrical outlets and light fixtures; also, wiring for a washer/dryer and hot water heater. To top it all off, an opening was cut into the sanctuary from an adjoining room to make a welcome center for everyone coming to worship Him!
We thank God for using the hands of Baptist Builders to complete His work!!
