Since October of 2015, we have been working with partners on the ground on the Greece/Macedonia borders serving refugees. It seems the opportunity changes weekly. The present opportunity is to assist in temporary camps where the refugee is being processed for resettlement or return to their homeland.
Each month, somewhere between 40,000 and 180,000 refugees are attempting to head north. We have the opportunity to assist with product distribution as the Asylum Seekers attempt to cross the border and spend time in the temporary camps.
This is an entry level opportunity with volunteers arriving in Thessaloniki, Greece on Sunday afternoon and staying at a designated hotel. A team leader will pick up volunteers around noon Monday - Friday. The team works until 10 or 11pm each night returning late into the evening to the hotel.
