Today let’s pray for David and Elany Clark serving in Michigan.
Northeast of Detroit is the city of Roseville, beside Lake Saint Clair, near the Canadian border. Roseville is a city of 47,000+ people. But it’s also part of Greater Detroit, 13 miles from downtown. Some 3.7 million people live in this metro area; most of them are lost.
David knows this city because he’s a Detroit native. He learned about church planting at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA, one of the six seminaries our church supports through the Cooperative Program.
David and Elany planted a new church called S.E.E.D. Church — the name stands for their core values: salvation, education, edification, discipleship. They meet in a rented brick building on Groveland Street in Roseville. Thousands of households surround their meeting place.
The church sponsors game nights and other programs to reach out. On Garden Day members planted flowers and vegetables as a way to meet people. Our church supports David and Elanythrough our Cooperative Program giving and can also support them in prayer.
