Resonate Church, a young SBC of Virginia church plant, was unable to continue church services at the school where they had been worshipping. Searching for a new spot, the congregation found an unexpected place: Launch Richmond, a trampoline park. The staff at Launch Richmond were open to allowing Resonate to meet there every Sunday at 9:00 AM.
With the unique environment around them, Resonate decided to launch a youth ministry opportunity, meeting one Wednesday a month. A laser tag arena, trampoline park, and obstacle courses provide great options for youth activities. Using this facility brought leverage to invite youth to come and have fun, but also to stay and hear the Word of God.
Mike Cauthorne, lead pastor of Resonate, said, “You just got to seek, then knock, then ask. It’s that simple.”
