DR - Brian Autry Hurricane Helene Message | SBCV
Hurricane Helene was a category 4 storm that tore through multiple states on September 26-27 and generated tornados, knocked out power, stranded people in flood waters, and caused much damage and destruction. Southwest Virginia was severely impacted.

SBCV Disaster Relief is working alongside the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM). A feeding team is on-site providing meals. The first mud-out team is scheduled to start work on Sunday, October 6. A second mud-out team begins October 13. Flood recovery and chainsaw teams will also be needed.

We encourage you to pray, give, and prepare to go.

Please Pray

Pray for each community affected, the churches, their staffs, the volunteers as they respond and their leadership as they plan and lead.

Please Give

The financial contributions will help provide meals, supplies, and travel for trained Disaster Relief volunteers to serve families. Best of all, it provides an excellent opportunity to share God’s love with them.  Gifts can be sent to the SBC of Virginia or given online.

Please send checks to:
