Today we‘re going to pray for a man we’ll call Jay Mason. But that’s not his real name.
He serves in the Middle East and it’s best that we do not get any more specific than that. We support him through our Cooperative Program giving.
Jay moved to a nation in the Middle East in 2013, just as the government there gave Christian churches new freedom. Jay was able to plant a new church that has grown steadily. This is an amazing opportunity that has never happened there before. Jay knows God made it all happen.
Jay’s ministry is more than a little difficult and dangerous. But he prepared for ministry by studying at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. It’s one of the six seminaries our church supports through our Cooperative Program giving.
Our students pay much lower tuition than students at other schools because our Cooperative Program helps lower costs.
Let’s pray for our missionary we’re calling Jay. And let’s thank the Lord for our fine seminaries like Southern, which are preparing pastors and missionaries to minister effectively and share Christ, even in some of the hardest places in the world.
