Ministry Description

First Baptist Church in Suffolk Virginia is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Discipleship. 

Ministry Requirements

The Discipleship Pastor is responsible for the leadership, planning, and execution of our church’s discipleship, Sunday School and outreach ministries.

The Discipleship Pastor will work in leading all discipleship-focused ministry targeting toward adults and children.  He is to be a leader of leaders, working alongside staff in equipping the church for Christian maturity. He will work to to facilitate true spiritual growth through study of God’s Word and promote authentic community through rich, caring and spiritually accountable relationships.

The Discipleship Pastor will lead the development and implementation of an aggressive evangelistic strategy and outreach plan that will help reach the lost and grow the church in our community.

Compensation: TBD based on experience and education.
