Ministry Description
To grow the children’s (babies to 5th grade) ministries of Beulah Baptist Church and to minister to the young families who are rearing their children in the faith
Ministry Requirements
Candidate must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and possess a deep love for Him as Lord and Savior and a love for children and children’s ministries. A man who leads his own family in a way that demonstrates Christ’s love for the Church. Must meet biblical standards for pastoral leadership (see Titus chapter 1). Education: bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalent experience in children’s ministry.
Duties:
1. Prepare and plan various activities/programs for children and young families
2. Oversee ministries that educate, edify, and equip our children for their walk with Jesus
3. Work closely with the senior pastor and a Children’s Ministry Support Committee to develop curriculum that focuses on all aspects of worship, discipleship, and missions
4. Maintain good communication with parents of children in the church
5. Recruit lay workers to aid in the ministry and provide training sessions for workers
6. Provide resources and support to parents through group activities. (Small Group, Bible Study, Discipleship Training)
7. Outreach to children in our community through various programs. (Bible School, Fall Festival, Easter programs)
8. Supervise Sunday night and Wednesday night children’s programs. (ex., AWANA)
9. Prepare annual ministry “Game Plan” with the senior pastor by setting goals and preparing a calendar of events
10. Outreach through visitation, social media, and solicitation
11. Provide a fun atmosphere for children to learn and grow in the faith
12. To develop and oversee a Beulah Kids program (serving 4- to 8-year-olds) that prepares children for corporate worship
13. Support and assist senior pastor as needed in ministering to the congregation as a whole
