Euclid Avenue Baptist Church in Bristol, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Minister of Worship and Outreach. This individual must be a dedicated Christian with an unquestionable testimony and a strong understanding of their calling to vocational ministry. The Minister of Worship and Outreach is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and promoting all music and worship activities of the church. Historically, EABC's music ministry has included graded children's choirs, student/youth choir, adult choir, praise teams, ensembles, orchestra, handbell choir and several special programs per year. The Minister of Worship and Outreach would be responsible to direct and/or develop these musical organizations.
The Minister of Worship and Outreach will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting a church-wide outreach ministry designed to engage our members in reaching individuals with the Gospel message, locally, regionally, nationally and globally. EABC wants to develop an exciting outreach ministry to include personal evangelism training and opportunities, as well as, assisting individuals and groups to become certified to participate in state and national Disaster Relief efforts through Southern Baptist ministries and organizations (SBCV, TBC, NAMB, etc). The main goal of these ministries should be to encourage & equip our members to be obedient to the Great Commission.

They will be able to share a clear and developed testimony regarding the journey and experiences that led them to surrender to and embrace the sacred calling of vocational ministry. Godliness, integrity, and honesty must exemplify their character and person. And finally, any candidate under consideration must be able to give evidence of possessing good relational skills and demonstrate an ability and desire to “belong and fit well” with the existing staff and church family at EABC.
Required Education and Experience:
Music and Worship
A bachelor's degree in music and three to five years of church music ministry experience, or a master's degree in vocal or instrumental music and two years of experience in church music ministry, or seven years of experience in the church music ministry, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Must have experience conducting choirs, instrumental groups, handbells and ensembles
Must possess an established Christian testimony and lifestyle that is known by family and friends for consistently seeking to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Must have received training \ certification in various evangelism training strategies such as Life on Mission ("3 Circles" approach), The Story, Life in 6 Words, etc. Training \ certification in older established evangelism strategy models such as F.A.I.T.H., Evangelism Explosion (EE), Continuous Witnessing Training (CWT), and the Romans Road presentation is also acceptable
Preferred Education and Experience:
Music and Worship
Masters' degree in Church Music or similar related field with 8 to 10 years of church music and worship experience
Formal academic \ classroom instruction in the area of evangelism//missions as part of a Bachelor's degree program, and \ or in a graduate degree program encompassing these areas of study. Experience within a local church setting with regard to coordinating and leading evangelism training efforts and \ or short-term mission endeavors (either within the U. S., or in another country)
