When your congregation includes snipers, intel officers, and amphibious assault personnel, Sunday morning looks a little different.
Joshua and Brittany Brown planted Pillar Church of Topsail just outside Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. This is one of the most fertile grounds in North America for evangelism and church planting. Their church serves a unique special operations community, where conversations about eternity come naturally.
“Many of these people face death-defying situations,” Joshua said. “We inject the Gospel into them, and when the military sends them out, they’re primed and ready to spread that Gospel all around the world.”
Joshua is baptizing new believers and sending out disciples who will share Christ in places most civilians will never go. As members deploy or relocate, the church continues to raise up new leaders to carry the mission forward.
