Tim Dowdy

Tim Dowdy serves as the Vice President of Evangelism at the North American Mission Board (NAMB), where he leads efforts to promote evangelistic initiatives across North America.

Prior to joining NAMB, Tim pastored Eagles Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, Georgia, for 30 years, during which the church averaged 132 baptisms annually, reflecting his commitment to sharing Christ.

In his role at NAMB, Tim emphasizes the importance of personal stories in evangelism, encouraging believers to share their experiences to demonstrate the gospel’s transformative power. He actively engages with pastors and church leaders, providing training and resources to foster evangelistic cultures within their congregations. Tim is also known for his dedication to supporting and refreshing ministry leaders, as evidenced by his involvement in NAMB’s Refresh Retreats. His leadership continues to inspire many in advancing the mission of evangelism throughout North America.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Tim identifies as a follower of Jesus, husband, father, and pastor.
