Today in our prayer time we’re going to a country in Eastern Europe and pray for two of our missionaries we’ll call Mark and Annie.
Most people in the country identify as Orthodox Christians, though for most that’s an identity label, not a faith. Mark and Annie went to reach the many Muslims who live in a border town.
Our church helped send them there and supports them through our Cooperative Program giving.
Mark and Annie asked God for an inroad — one believer who could help them. At last, they met a believer we’ll call Natalia, who teaches English at a school — she is the only follower of Christ on the staff.
Natalia became their ministry partner. One of the biggest events was a presentation on Christmas in the gym of Natalia’s school that Mark and Annie arranged.
Some feared the Muslims would be offended, but that did not happen. The event was a success.
Reaching Muslims for Christ will be a hard task, but Mark and Annie are encouraged by having a faithful partner.
Let’s pray now for Mark and Annie and ask God to help them reach many for Christ. And let’s pray too for Natalia.
