The Praetorian Project is mobilizing to make disciples and plant churches among our military communities. This movement was birthed and embraced in the hearts of SBC of Virginia churches and pastors, and we are seeing God move in an amazing way for His glory.
-Brian Autry, Executive Director of the SBC of Virginia
SBC of Virginia churches have been partnering with the Praetorian Project since 2012, sharing the Good News of Jesus with those on the front lines. Individuals, families, small groups, and whole churches can take part in blessing military families and church plants. Let’s make sure those in harm’s way know the hope of eternal life.
WAYS TO BLESS:
1. GIVE A MILITARY COUPLE A DATE NIGHT.
Praetorian Project churches often host Military Parents Night Out events where they provide 3 hours of childcare and give each couple a $25 gift card to a local. Make a donation towards gift cards to bless military couples.
2. TRAIN MILITARY CHURCH LEADERS IN OKINAWA.
We have a goal of providing 100 copies of Gospel Fluency to the military church. With your donation, the SBC of Virginia will take care of all of the logistics to get the books to Japan.
3. GIFT MILITARY BIBLE STICKS.
The Military BibleStick reaches service men and women, deployed in some of the most dangerous areas of the world, with God’s Word in audio—it can go with them and sustain them in even the most difficult circumstances. It contains the entire Audio Drama New Testament and selected Psalms chosen specifically for “warriors,” yet it’s only about the size of a pack of chewing gum.
4. ENCOURAGE A MILITARY CHURCH PLANTER.
If you would like to send a personal note to a military church planter or family of thanks and prayer, it can be mailed to: Pillar Church, PO Box 622, Dumfries, VA 22026 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
