The Mission Experience
The Mission Experience
The holidays provide a ready-made opportunity to minister to international missionaries as they are often separated from loved ones. During this season, consider how your family, small group, or church can care for our missionaries.
Remember the missionaries sent out from your church. Work with your Sunday School class or small group to find way to bless your missionaries this Christmas.
  • Send a care package or even open your home to a missionary kid now in college.
  • Have a phone or video call with missionaries to encourage them, hear about their ministry, and pray with them.
  • Send a Christmas or thank-you card to a retired missionary. A great way to involve younger generations is to teach and remind them of the legacy of Southern Baptist missions. The simplest card from children and youth can bless a retired missionary this season.
  • Connect with a missionary to pray for and support them. Contact Brad Russell (missions@sbcv.org) for more details.

One of the best ways to love our missionaries is by giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. This offering is unique from other mission offerings in that 100% of gifts provide for missionaries all over the world. It is a valuable part of Southern Baptists’ 175-year history of reaching the nations with the Gospel and vital to reaching the vision of a multitude from every language, people, tribe, and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 7:9).
