A Biker Evangelism Network

he biker evangelism network is a network of SBC of Virginia churches focusing on ministry to bikers for the purpose of sharing the Gospel & making disciples. The biker culture is recognized as an affinity with unique characteristics & therefore will be reached through ministry models specifically designed for the culture.

While the SBC of Virginia assists to facilitate the network, the ministries are owned & operated by the local church. Our desire is to see churches working together to reach bikers within the commonwealth as they coordinate local & Statewide ministries in order to expand the workforce & influence of multiple churches working together for Christ’s Kingdom. Also, our goal is to expand the ministry beyond the commonwealth to assist with biker ministry nationally & possibly internationally as well. A couple of examples are: Sturgis Bike Week Giveaway & Daytona Bike Week Giveaway. While these are ongoing & proven partnerships we will continue to explore other opportunities.

While the Biker Evangelism Network is not limited to one specific organization, we will expect all organizations within the network to adhere to the Baptist Faith & Message (2000). Sound doctrine & Biblical conduct are required for all participants within the network.

Notes: Motorcycle ministry comes under the authority of the local church & is subject to the leadership of the church.

Daytona Bike Week

During Daytona Bike Week, motorcyclists are given the opportunity to come under the ministry tent and register for a bike giveaway if they listen for three minutes to what God has done in the life of a volunteer.

Sturgis Bike Week

The SBC of Virginia partners with the Dakota Baptist Convention to share the Gospel with bikers from across the nation. Volunteers enlisted from the Dakotas and across the nation are given training in sharing an evangelistic testimony in three minutes.

3 Minute Testimony

The three minute testimony is a proven strategy of sharing your testimony in three minutes or less. This valuable resource works for the newest believer or an experience evangelist. For several years, this strategy has been the primary tool used at the Sturgis Bike Rally that God has used for thousands to hear the message of the Gospel and, for many of them, to find Christ.

3 Circles Training Videos

Life change. It all begins with a conversation. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the most profound reality of life. But sharing it with someone can be as simple as three circles. Discover how you can share the gospel with anyone using the Life Conversation Guide, a companion resource to the new Life On Mission book.

What Does F.A.I.T.H. Stand For?

F is for Forgiveness. We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God’s forgiveness.

A is for Available. Forgiveness is available for all, but it is not automatic.

I is for Impossible. It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven. It is also impossible to please God through our own actions.

T is for Turn. Turn means to repent from sin and self to Christ only.

H is for Heaven. Heaven is eternal life, here and now and in the hereafter – but only through Christ. Forsaking all, I trust Him!

The Ministry of F.A.I.T.H. Riders

The command of God implores us as we “go into all the world we are to preach the Gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15); the F.A.I.T.H. Riders take this calling seriously as the lifeblood of its existence and passion. This is a ministry, not a riding club or gang, and our sole purpose is to share the life-changing Good News by equipping the saints to engage in practical ministry opportunities.

Through the ministry of F.A.I.T.H. Riders, bikers and others are learning about Jesus Christ and receiving His awesome gift of salvation and eternal life in Heaven with Him. F.A.I.T.H. Riders is reaching people with their bikes who may not normally step foot into an organized church or Bible study. It’s putting rubber, as well as shoe leather, onto the Gospel message.

F.A.I.T.H. Riders is a unique Christian ministry based in local churches. This allows us to come together on a weekly basis to encourage one another and be involved in Bible Study.

As we worship and grow together, it prepares us for our ultimate mission, which is to take the love of Christ to the world. Each chapter has different ways to minister to people. A list of our ministries are listed below:

  • Weekly Bible Studies
  • Monthly Christian Bike Nights
  • Service Projects
  • Bike Festivals
  • Mission Trips
  • Bike Safety Courses

As Christian motorcyclists, we have the privilege and opportunity to share the joy of the Lord with other motorcycle enthusiasts who may not feel comfortable to venture into the traditional church environment. We want everyone to know that God can and will use them if they will allow Him to. We want NO ONE to be LEFT BEHIND on judgment day.

In February 2002, God began an outreach to motorcycle enthusiasts through First Baptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland, Florida. God has expanded this ministry throughout churches in the Southern Baptist Convention as an example of the extraordinary thing He can do through obedience of ordinary people. F.A.I.T.H. Riders want to change the world for Jesus Christ!

F.A.I.T.H. Riders consists of people from all walks of life, riding all styles, makes and models of bikes. We invite you to join F.A.I.T.H. Riders as we impact the world for Christ, by sharing God’s love and our personal stories of what He has done for us. Please let us know if we can pray for you or help you in your Christian journey.
