The July hot sun is out, and we pray that your ministry is blessed and in full swing to reach the lost. In this SBCV Spotlight, we are reminded of the families impacted by the flooding that occurred in parts of Virginia and West Virginia. SBC of Virginia Disaster Relief volunteers from more than 55 churches served people in need, which included the provision of 65,000 meals, cleaning homes, collecting and distributing supplies, and sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ. More volunteers are requested to assist with the more than 300 homes damaged. Go to sbcv.org/floodrelief to learn more and to see how you can give.
You will also learn about mission opportunities like Fusion Camp which was held in June in the Christiansburg and Roanoke communities, Fuge Camp taking place now at Liberty University, and Family Fusion just around the corner on the Eastern Shore. A great event for women to attend is the upcoming Women’s Ministry Leadership Retreat in Rockville, Virginia.
And finally, don’t forget to pray how God can use you through the Vision Virginia missions offering. This supports dozens of ministries like poverty in Appalachia, church planting, disaster relief, and so much more! You can find those details on our website: sbcv.org/visionvirginia.
You can find information for these events by visiting our website (sbcv.org/events). We pray this resource strengthens and challenges your ministry as we serve King Jesus together.
