Everyone faces trials, circumstances, and problems in life. This is a sobering reality of life. However, no matter how many problems we face and no matter how great the struggle, the good news of the Gospel is still good news. In fact, it is often in the midst of our greatest problems that God works through us to take the good news to others who may otherwise never hear. We may at times be arrested by grief, disease, hurt, pain, fear, and all sorts of disappointments, but the Gospel is never in chains. This was Paul’s experience. As he was chained to a prize soldier of the Praetorian Guard he boldly explained,
“Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the Gospel.”(Philippians 1:12)
It is incredible to remember that God isn’t working in spite of our circumstances. He is working through our circumstances to further point people to Jesus. Don’t let your problems hinder you from telling everyone the good news of Jesus. In fact, it will be through your victorious testimony in the dark times that God will use you to bring others to the Light.
