FAMILY FOUNDATION TOUR: When Your Faith Is Challenged (Small Group Gatherings)

March 3 | 12:00 PM | Crosslink Community Church, Harrisonburg
Each gathering will include a meal and will address how new government bills and decisions are impacting the local church and ministries.
Topics to be addressed:
– What churches should be looking for from a new Presidential administration
– The Virginia General Assembly: what threats to the church are happening right now in our state
– What is the “Big Picture” plan: Come hear about the game plan at one of our local breakfasts/luncheons
Because these are in-person gatherings and we are adhering to the governor’s directive, we are limiting the number to 10 participants.

Theme: Passing on the Passion of Prayer to the Next Generation

Student pastors are invited to join Dr. Earley at 8:30 AM for a special session highlighting the importance of prayer in student ministry and how to involve the next generation in prayer. A light breakfast will be provided.

Join us for the morning and afternoon sessions with Dr. Dave Earley. He will speak on the need to model prayer and the importance of passing on the ministry of prayer to the next generation. A boxed lunch is included with registration.

EQUIP WOMEN’S CONFERENCE with Nicki Koziarz (Virtual Event)
Theme: Peace in Times of Uncertainty
This now virtual experience will take place over a period of weeks (starting February 11) with various video sessions available online and the SBCV Women’s Ministry Facebook page. Equip Conferences focus on helping women grow and mature in their walk with God by identifying the tools available to them through prayer, Scripture, and the work of the Holy Spirit.

This annual training event will still provide the same LifeWay rally speakers, along with some 40 breakouts that will help equip preschool and children’s leaders in areas of:

Equipping Volunteers
VBS Training

These opportunities will be available on the webpage the day of and after the event, so take advantage and participate in more breakouts this year or use these tools for your church’s leader trainings.

MENTAL HEALTH COACHING TOUR: Training Lay People to Assist You in Ministry (Small Group Gatherings)

The SBCV is partnering with Liberty University and the American Association of Christian Counselors to provide you with training and certification for lay leaders to assist you in ministry. Dr. Tim Clinton says, “We need an army of helpers in the local church—those who God has given natural gifts and talents to, to offer help, hope and guidance to those in need!”. Dr. David Wheeler, along with other staff from AACC, will be touring and explaining this valuable opportunity for pastors and churches in March. Dates and locations are being firmed up.
