Virginia Global Response serves to provide a humanitarian and compassion ministry platform for churches and individuals to be mobilized for rapid response and ongoing ministry. It is a volunteer, humanitarian ministry serving during times of crisis around the world and advocating for the disenfranchised.
Virginia Global Response provides churches and volunteers with ministry opportunities on the front lines of crises worldwide.
In partnership with like-minded organizations, Virginia Global Response connects churches and individuals with an impacted community in order to meet a wide range of needs. In rapid response situations, individuals who have been trained in disaster relief will be called upon to mobilize quickly.* Virginia Global Response also serves to connect churches and individuals to opportunities to provide continuing aid to areas and populations as they recover from crisis.
*Volunteers from other states and churches are welcome to come serve with Virginia Global Response teams.

The Biblical examples are numerous. Jesus told those around him over and over that we should not turn our back on those who need us the most. This is why SBC of Virginia is starting Virginia Global Response – a humanitarian effort with an evangelistic purpose. The goal is to share the good news of the gospel where God leads – the vehicle is humanitarian efforts. We’ve been doing this locally and nationally through Disaster Relief since 2002. Now we are taking it to the ends of the earth with the help of the SBC and gospel partners.
We’ve seen again and again what happens when SBC of Virginia churches reach out to the needy in their own backyard or across an ocean.
SBC of Virginia churches, we can be the ones to help and make an eternal difference. We can do it together and we can start now! Pray for God to move even more churches to join together to reach the lost in places like Greece, Barcelona, and Nepal… and beyond!
