“The Lord states “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go.” (Genesis 28:15)
My family and I recently drove out to Wyoming and Montana. We happened to go during Sturgis Bike Week. It was a fascinating scene, and I was blown away at the number of people riding along the Interstate at 80 miles an hour without a helmet. Each of these individuals trusted in their own abilities to keep them safe. The danger is that you cannot predict what other drivers or animals may do. In fact, you really cannot trust yourself that well either. As a Christ follower, often we find ourselves trusting in ourselves rather than the Lord.
We have an enemy who seeks to destroy each of us. We never know when danger may be right around the corner. However, the Lord does. We are called to place our full trust in the Lord. Only the Lord knows what lies ahead for each of our lives. So why not trust him fully today, and everyday, as He leads us. We don’t need to avoid the danger, but He will guide us through.
