Don Barger has dedicated his career to global missions, beginning in the Dominican Republic, where he and his wife, Jennifier, used Bible storying and community health strategies in their ministry. He later led the International Mission Board’s (IMB) work among indigenous people groups in Mexico and Central America before moving to Lima, Peru, where he spent a decade leading IMB’s Training Team for Latin America. Don has a deep passion for equipping others in effective communication with oral cultures.

In 2024, he co-authored Unreadable: Another Book You Probably Won’t Read with Grant Lovejoy. Today, Don serves as the Director of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence at IMB, where he leads initiatives in AI, digital and immersive engagement, design thinking, and gaming to advance the missionary task.
