“For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” (2 Corinthians 2:15)
An airline company hired a perfume maker to produce the scent of a flower for which its aircrafts are named after. However, the perfume maker failed. The airline retained the name but without the scent. The Scripture says,“We are a fragrance of Christ to God….” Could it be that some of us bear the name of Christ but without His fragrance?
We diffuse the fragrance of Christ through our lives that reflects Him and through spreading the Good News of salvation wherever His Spirit leads us. Such fragrant life is a sacrifice of worship, an aroma pleasing to God. It is also the fragrance of Christ’s glory, spreading abroad to draw lost people into a saving relationship with God.
Let us never give up in this sacred task for He promised to “always lead us in His triumph in Christ, and manifest through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.” (2 Corinthians 2:14)
