Today, let’s pray for Jared and Desiraye Davis, our church’s missionaries serving in West Chester Township, part of Greater Cincinnati, Ohio.
They have planted a new church they call Restored Church because they’re praying to restore lives through sharing the gospel and discipling believers.
Jared never expected to become a church planter. In fact, he had never even thought about it before a conversation with his pastor in 2020. But, as he prayed about the possibility, God made it clear that he wanted Jared and Desiraye to start a new church near Cincinnati.
God led the couple to a neighborhood in West Chester Township with all sorts of people. The one thing most have in common? A need for restoration only Christ can bring. Earlier, Jared was a music teacher and academic advisor. That helped him connect with a local elementary school. The church has built relationships with the school by meeting practical needs and sharing the gospel.
A Kentucky partner church recently sent mission teams to help Restored Church refurbish the school’s teacher lounge, the staff workspace, and the staff restrooms. When teachers returned to school after summer break, they were amazed by the church’s generosity.
Our church supports Jared and Desiraye through our Cooperative Program giving. Let’s pray now that the Lord will help their church grow powerfully and bring many to faith in Christ, both in West Chester Township and across Butler County.
Let’s ask the Lord to bless their ministry and also to provide them with a good place for all those new members to worship and be discipled in their new faith!
