Week of Prayer

The week of prayer is September 14-21, 2025.
Day 1: Disaster Relief
Day 1: Disaster Relief

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is the third largest volunteer-based relief agency in North America. Pray that God will continue to call SBCV church volunteers to be trained and ready when the need arises.

Day 2: Statewide Evangelism
Day 2: Statewide Evangelism

Pray that the Lord would equip believers everywhere to reach their neighbors for Christ, give churches a clear vision for how to reach those around them, and encourage those who are faithful to share the Gospel day in and day out.

Day 3: Food Distribution
Day 3: Food Distribution

Many churches prepare and share meals each month with impoverished families in their communities. Pray that our hearts will burden for those who go hungry and that God will bless our efforts.

Day 4: Leadership Development
Day 4: Leadership Development

Students, collegians, seminarians, and church staff receive many opportunities throughout the year to develop further as relevant leaders. Pray that church leaders will learn from these opportunities and continue to grow into Christlike shepherds.

Day 5: English as a Second Language
Day 5: English as a Second Language

Pray that the Lord would continue to provide leaders for English as a Second Language (ESL) ministries as we work with one another to share the Gospel.

Day 6: Internship Grants for Churches
Day 6: Internship Grants for Churches

This scholarship helps churches that benefit from a ministry intern. Pray for church leaders as they invest in the next generation and for ministry interns as they gain valuable experience and serve faithfully.

Day 7: Pregnancy Support Centers
Day 7: Pregnancy Support Centers

Pray for Pregnancy Support Centers as they provide women with truth, compassion, and care. Ask God to strengthen staff and volunteers, guide clients with wisdom, and protect the lives of the unborn entrusted to their care.

Day 8: Foster Care
Day 8: Foster Care

Pray for churches involved in Foster Care ministry as they support vulnerable children and families. Ask God to equip foster parents with strength and compassion—and to bring healing, hope, and stability to every child.
