Primary Purpose: To serve Jesus Christ and His church by developing, nurturing, and administering an effective, comprehensive, and fruitful ministry to middle and high school students, along with coordinating outreach to the local community. This individual will also provide leadership to and supervision of those involved in the ministry in accordance with the mission and vision of Kingsland Baptist Church: “Connecting people with Christ.” He must also accept the Southern Baptist Convention’s doctrinal statement defined in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.”
Supervision: The Minister of Youth and Outreach will work under the direct supervision of the Pastor.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college preferred, or an educational background deemed equivalent. Bible training in a formal or informal capacity is desired.
Experience: Experience with leadership in church youth ministry as confirmed by references.
Strong interpersonal skills are required for this position and must possess:
The ability to biblically teach and minister to churched and unchurched youth.
The ability to listen and show understanding and empathy, along with relating to and exhibiting a sincere interest in KBC’s youth and families.
The ability to be respectful, approachable, and available to KBC’s youth and families. Open and frequent communication will be vital to the ministry.
The ability to organize, follow up, and work cooperatively with volunteers and youth leaders.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and lead programs, along with recruiting and training volunteers and youth leaders, in accordance with the mission and vision of KBC: “Connecting people with Christ.”
Build and maintain relationships with churched and unchurched youth.
Involve students in the ministry of the church as a whole, supporting and participating in the church’s vision, worship services, and activities.
