Imagine the impact if every lady in the ministry area you lead were to be a part of someone’s faith journey. From praying for someone who is spiritually lost, extending an invitation to church, to sharing the hope we have in Jesus; Only God knows the eternal impact that can be made as ladies leverage their lives for the gospel.
When Jesus extends an invitation to the first disciples in Matthew 4:19 he says, “Come, follow me.” These men left everything behind to go with Jesus. They spent time with him and learned from Him. But the invitation to follow Jesus wasn’t only to gain knowledge of who He was; it was also an invitation to be a part of what He was doing as He changed lives and eternities. Jesus goes on to say, “…and I will make you fishers of men.” These first disciples would join Jesus in proclaiming the gospel so that more might be saved.
The same invitation extended to the very first disciples is extended to us today. It’s an invitation for you and for the ladies you serve. Not only do you have the privilege of pointing those in your ministry area to Jesus as you study the Bible, host gatherings, engage in mission opportunities, and more, but you have a unique opportunity to equip them to do the same as they leverage their lives for the gospel where they live, work, and play.
Several weeks ago, a lady who leads a Monday morning bible study reached out to share the most encouraging story. She said at the end of each week’s bible study she began doing two things. First, she intentionally shared the gospel. She had previously assumed that everyone in the bible study was a follower of Jesus. However, the very first time she walked through the gospel one lady gave her life to Christ! Incredible! Second, she spent time challenging the ladies to not only live out the things they were learning, but to be prepared to share with someone in an effort to point them to Jesus.
It’s one thing to grow in our knowledge of Jesus; It’s another thing to be obedient in our calling to share Jesus. You have a unique opportunity to help ladies do both. There’s nothing more exciting than watching ladies realize that not only can God use them to be a part of someone’s faith journey; but He will use them if they are willing. Together, let’s “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15)
