Biography
Family: Married to Marisol since 1997; three daughters (Sara, Mia, and Samantha) and two cats
Education: Graduated from the Theological College of El Salvador; has certifications in coaching, planting, and multiplication; currently working on his master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
Ministry Experience: Raúl served as the director of missions for International Baptist Mission of El Salvador and as an evangelism professor from 1998 to 2001. In North America, he has helped plant churches in Virginia and has advised planters nationally and internationally. In 2019 , Raúl was confirmed again to the ministry at McLean Bible Church, where he is part of the outreach ministry and the New City Network Team, recruiting Hispanic planters to start churches in Metro Washington, DC. He is also an instructor for Threshold, an introductory course for church planting in Latin America. In 2020, Raúl began working with the SBC of Virginia as a church planting strategist for Hispanic ministries.
Passions: training, coaching, and supporting Hispanic church planters
Hobbies/Interests: getting to know people from other cultures and countries and playing and watching and soccer games (favorite team is Real Madrid CF)
