I see you.
I know you’re weary.
You’re trying to be all things to all people.
Comfort for your husbands.
Protectors of your children.
Teachers to those willing to listen.
Advocates.
Spokeswomen.
I see your pain and frustration.
Love, forgiveness, compassion is more of a choice today than it’s ever been, it seems like.
You are not alone.
I have found myself physically exhausted these days, mentally fatigued, numb. I have found myself pouring out everything I have until there’s nothing left, operating from a place of emptiness.
I feel you.
I want to encourage you with what the Father has been speaking into me, most recently.
Rest.
Rest in the arms of Jesus. He doesn’t call us to be everything. He IS everything. Let Him be everything for you.
Return.
Return your burdens to the altar and don’t look back. Jesus offers you a much lighter load. Take it, and don’t forget the yoke. He says to take up His yoke and learn from Him, for He is gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Realize.
Realize when you’re discouraged that God is doing a new thing. It is God opening eyes. It is God moving in the hearts and minds of His people. It is God doing the work!
Remember.
Remember when you’re angry that the battle is not ours. Remember that vengeance is the Lord’s and He will repay! Remember, there WILL be justice. God loves justice, and it is a promise.
You are seen, heard, known and loved by the Father and it is important now, more than ever, we do this together. It is imperative that we take our white sisters by the hand and walk with them. Let God handle the rest, and trust that He will.
“Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah. But Thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.” Psalm 3:1-5 (KJV)
