Andy and Tabitha Daniel launched Mercy Gate Church on April 17, 2022, in Box Elder, South Dakota, near Ellsworth Air Force Base. Their community includes active and retired military, Lakota Sioux, and others from diverse backgrounds.
In just three years, they’ve witnessed more than 100 baptisms, nearly 40 of those among Lakota Sioux individuals. Reaching Lakota men remains a challenge, and the Daniels are praying fervently for breakthrough.
Mercy Gate Church also ministers to the homeless. One spring, teams went into downtown Rapid City to share Christ. Today, the church sends a bus every Sunday morning and evening to bring around a dozen homeless individuals to worship services, followed by a meal. Some are beginning to hunger and thirst for God.
Our church’s prayers and gifts help missionaries like Andy and Tabitha serve their neighbors and share the love of Jesus. Ask God to raise up leaders as Mercy Gate Church continues to grow and reach the Lakota Sioux and others in their community.
