Today, we get a bonus. We get to pray for an IMB missionary couple and for New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary students—both at the same time. And that’s because IMB missionaries Austin and Megan Holcomb are serving out their “next term” right in the middle of the NOBTS campus.
Austin and Megan are inviting students into their home, building friendships, living life and serving together alongside students in New Orleans. As they do, they listen. They answer questions. Their job is to support those who wonder if God is calling them to international missions. Their job also is to encourage and walk beside those getting ready to go.
After all, Austin and Megan know what it’s like to have questions. They remember how it felt to wonder if God was calling them to missions. And, they know what it means to take the next step even when all the answers aren’t yet clear. Who better than to encourage and prepare the next generation of missionaries?
Our church supports them through our Cooperative Program giving. Let’s pray for Austin and Megan Holcomb. Pray also for NOBTS students who are considering God’s call to missions. Pray for those who are preparing right now to go.
