Brad Russell serves as missions strategist for the SBC of Virginia, overseeing Partnership Missions and Compassion Ministries. He is passionate about churches partnering together to utilize its unique strengths to fulfill the Great Commission. Brad strives to encourage pastors to lead their churches to make a global impact, understanding that each church as a responsibility to grow the Kingdom.
Brad is a former missionary’s kid with the International Mission Board (IMB) and has served in pastoral ministry in various capacities for 25 years. He currently pastors Old Powhatan Baptist Church in Powhatan, where he has served since 2007. He is a graduate of Campbell University and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is husband to Jo Anny and father to Chesed and Charisa.
