Dear friends!
Today is exactly three months since Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine has begun.
Last week, we were able to do a retreat session for our students from all programs. Our students were sincerely grateful for such an experience since they all were 24/7 in ministry to refugees and they needed time to stop, gain new ministry ideas, rest and someone to take care of them. We as UBTS tried to create such an opportunity for our students and serve them the best we can.
We asked students what they did during the war. And today, in the video, some of them will tell their stories. Please see below some numbers in terms of ministry of our students (we asked them to fill out the short survey)
- 73% of students were engaged in humanitarian aid
- 46% hosted refuges at home
- 44% organized the housing of refugees in churches
- 41% communicated with people and shared the gospel
- 30% were involved in cooking
- 20% were involved in the evacuation of people from hotspots.
- 5% of our students serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a seminary, we influence and serve through our students. They are our main agents of change.
Thank you for your prayers, resources, and finances to support our students throughout Ukraine and beyond! We believe that thanks to this, we will be able to rebuild our country and to help many more people.
