In our prayer time today, let’s pray for one of our missionaries in Central Asia. We’ll call him Brent Dorsett, but that’s not his real name. He serves in a country where it’s dangerous to be a Christian. Our church helps support Brend and his ministry in Central Asia through our Cooperative Program giving.
Brent and his local Christian ministry partner visit homes so they can share Jesus and teach the Bible. It usually takes several years before people here believe Jesus is the Son of God. But sometimes, things move, well, miraculously quicker. When they visited a local man named Daler, he asked many questions about Revelation. Brent assumed it was because the man was doubtful of what he read. But after many questions, Daler closed his Bible and announced, “I believe Jesus is God!”
Brent and his co-worker were shocked. But they learned local believers had given Daler a Bible six months earlier. He had read all of it — and was convinced it was true. Months later, Daler still believed. Let’s ask God to bless our missionary, Brent, and his co-worker. And let’s ask Him to help thousands more in that land to accept the truth about Jesus so they can know Him.
