You may not be aware, but EVERY International Mission Board missionary comes to the International Learning Center (ILC) just outside Richmond for their training before deploying to the field.

The ILC as our missionaries call it – has served four decades of missionaries sent out to the ends of the earth. Through the faithful giving of Southern Baptists, our workers have a place that allows them to grow, pray, prepare, learn and abide in Christ as they go to the nations with the Gospel.

The International Mission Board has announced plans to renovate and renew this special place for the new generations of missionaries. After faithful use for so long, it is time to update and remodel the buildings that families live in for the duration of their training.

The SBC of Virginia Executive Board, meeting this past May, approved a gift of $300,000 to be used for this renovation project at the International Learning Center!

The SBCV is committed to caring for our missionaries – on the field and as they prepare for their service, and we want to extend to you and your church, the opportunity to join in this mission project through a special “Christmas in July” project.

  • Use your VBS Offering to go to this project – to bless missionaries who come through Virginia and are being sent to the ends of the earth.
  • Have your women’s, students, or senior adult ministries participate by making a gift.
  • Be creative! Make this a celebration of all that the Lord is doing around the globe through your church’s faithful prayers and giving.

On behalf of the missionaries that these gifts will impact, please accept our sincere appreciation for your prayers and generosity!
