For Families – Family Advocacy Ministry
April – May 2024
There are over 5,000 children in the foster care system in Virginia. Your church can make a difference. Start by hosting a family day or appreciation night for foster families and social workers in your church and community. For more ideas, visit sbcv.org/fostercare.
For Neighbors – Hunger Services
June – August 2024
Hunger and food security are increasing problems in many communities. Your church can partner with a local feeding ministry or food pantry to meet urgent needs in the community. Join with other SBCV churches and take up on offering on August 25 to pray and alleviate food insecurity around the world.

For Children – Christmas Backpacks
September – October 2024
Each year, thousands of Christmas Backpacks are collected around the state and at Annual Homecoming and sent out through our partners to bless school children. Use this season to ready your backpacks. Then drop them off at a collection site near you or bring them to Annual Homecoming.
These gifts are given to children in need, but more than just a backpack is offered. The backpacks help create community outreach events to proclaim the Good News of Christ at Christmas. In supporting this work, you can be sure that your generos- ity helps prepare the soil to share Jesus with these families.
