At Encounter, you will gain skills and strategies necessary to grow as a leader. This bilingual event is designed to support you whether you’re leading in the church or in the workplace, as a volunteer or as a staff member.

Over 400 women gathered together at Bethel Baptist Church in Yorktown for the Equip Women's Conference. Being challenged by Rachel Lovingood and others, these women worshipped together, heard from guest speakers, attended relevant and informative breakout sessions, and fellowshipped with each other.

On October 21-22, the SBCV Ministry Wives Team hosted Thrive Ministry Wives Conference with Christine Hoover as the guest speaker.

SBCV's statewide Hispanic conference, Renovados, drew 400 people and provided workshops for men, women, and youth, along with a one-day VBS for children.

Over 300 women gathered at Swift Creek Baptist Church in Midlothian to be challenged by Proverbs 31 Ministries Speaker Nicki Koziarz. They also attended valuable breakout sessions to encourage them to stand firm in the faith.

Gathered to focus on Romans 12:2, the Women’s Leadership Forum drew 78 ministry leaders from 34 different churches. Christine Hoover, author and national speaker, was the main speaker. At the conference, women were encouraged to seek Him through prayer, time in His Word, and worship. Leaders were ministered to and reminded that, because of our relationship with Christ, and through our partnership with the SBC of Virginia, they are not alone.
